Executive Assistant
Permanent part-time (15 hours per week) working remotely or potential for a flexible hybrid model workplace for the successful applicant depending on location.
Position description
We’re looking for an executive assistant to provide first-rate administrative support for the efficient running of the virtual office and support for the National Board.
A friendly and professional self-starter with strong people skills to liaise with the public, the National Board, the Branches, paid staff, contractors and volunteers.
This role will coordinate National Board reporting including arranging teleconference meetings, agenda preparation in collaboration with the National Board Chair, scribing minutes and necessary follow-up of meetings.
Key skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft 365 (essential), e-commerce (Shopify), Xero, Brevo (EDMs), WordPress and social media (preferred)
- Demonstrated organisational skills with ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience and knowledge of the operation and governance processes of boards and committees. - Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An appreciation of the work of a not-for-profit and importantly have a strong commitment to the work the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
Salary: $40 per hour + superannuation and entitlements
