CBCA's Book of the Year Notables List is a big deal!

The Notables are the go-to list for Australia’s top children’s books over the previous year.

Entries for the premiere title of CBCA Book of the Year have increased every year in it's 76 year history, consistently showcasing the brilliant and inspiring coomunity of passionate Australian creators.

Every year a panel of dedicated judges devour these amazing entries narrowing the field of entrants into "Notables", the top 100 - 150 books, falling into 5 key categories:

• Older Reader
• Younger Reader
• Early Childhood
• Picture Book
• Eve Pownall
• Illustration

The CBCA Book Awards Notables List is released late February each year, and is a time of excitment for many creators around the country. For all entrants though the celebration continues, and every contribution made by Australians to enrich the lives of young people through literature is worth championing!
