The Nan Chauncy Award
CBCA biennial award has been created to honour people who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of Australian children’s literature.
 
The CBCA Citation for Outstanding Service to the CBCA. This National Award has previously been given to Laurie Copping and Maurice Saxby (1992); and to Belle Alderman, Margaret Hamilton and June Smith (2006). In 2009 John Cohen and Jo Goodman were awarded this citation.
 
The Crichton Award for New Illustrators  [Victorian Branch]
The Crichton Award aims to recognise and encourage new talent in the field of Australian children's book illustration. It is administered by the Victorian Branch of the CBCA and the judging panel of three is nominated and elected by the executive of the Victorian Branch.
 
The Dame Annabelle Rankin Award [Queensland Branch]
A biennial award for Distinguished Services to Children's Literature.
 
The Leila St John Award [Victorian Branch]
An annual award for distinguished services to children's literature in Victoria.
 
The Lady Cutler Award [NSW Branch]
For Distinguished Service to Children’s Literature in NSW
