Mrs Mac is always my first link. The page is created early, is built on, leading into the start of Book Week, and is bursting at the seams with excellent ideas. Go to smclibrary.
The CMIS Blogs have an excellent round up of all the Short List titles, including reviews and resources. Older Readers are here, and actually, there are quick links to the other categories from there. Very handy!
Don't forget about the Qld branch publication, 'Inside the Shortlist', which has teaching ideas, and discussion points for all of the shortlisted books. Yours can be ordered now here and will be available late May. Only $20, no payment expected until you receive your copy.
The Junior Judges 2010 project is up and running. We would love teachers and teacher librarians to combine this activity with their work on the shortlisted books. In the same vein as shadowing the Carnegie and Greenaway medal lists, the CBCA are keen to hear from the children and the young adults of Australia and let them have their say. The website is here and you can register your school now.
Irene Buckler, teacher librarian and assistant principal in a NSW public school, is in the process of updating her interactive site on the 2010 shortlisted titles. The literacy activities look both engaging and relevant. The site can be found here.
Stacey Graham, Teacher Librarian at two NSW schools, has created interactive SMARTBoard units for students in K - 2 based on the Early Childhood Shortlist. The units were developed to be used on the SMARTBoard, but some activities can be done in the lab and worksheets are also attached. These are large files, and can found linked here, at Stacey's school library website.
Mandie Gardiner's 2010 Book Week wiki looks great. As usual.

AATE and ALEA are again working with DEEWR on an event during National Literacy and Numeracy Week. In previous years this has focussed on one day known as National Reading Day. This year it will run for the length of NLNW and will be called the National Celebration of Literacy. A selection of CBCA shortlisted books has been used as the basis for activities which will focus on digital storytelling. Schools and libraries are urged to commence their activities in Children’s Book Week which is held the week before, and carry over the theme of ‘across the story bridge’. Details of the Celebration of Literacy can be found at the newly formed website.
Maree Coughlan from St Dympna's in Brisbane has created some Book Week activities in Quia. The links are on this word document.
Therese Curran from St Elizabeth's in Qld sent in her Book Week passports. I apologise that I have taken so long to get them up, but it took me a while to resize them so they could be uploaded. There are three word documents that become booklets. Therese's daughter designed the front cover image.
