Children's Book of the Year Awards

These annual awards are for books with an implied readership under the age of eighteen. The Short List in each category is announced on 1 April 2008. The Winner and Honour Book/s will be announced on Friday 15 August 2008. They are presented in five categories:

CBCA Book of the Year: Older Readers
CBCA Book of the Year: Younger Readers
CBCA Book of the Year: Early Childhood
CBCA Picture Book of the Year
The Eve Pownall Award for Information Books
